What do I write about?
I explore the mysteries of the inner world and explain my findings rationally.
As someone who studied applied mathematics and engineering and worked in venture capital before pivoting into the unknown land of Internet Writing, I’ve done quite the internal excavation of my own over the years. And what I’ve learned is that we do a LOT of work to avoid feeling what we are actually feeling, and listening to where our intuition wants to take us.
We get so good at this, in fact, that we can explain our whole lives to ourselves and convince ourselves that what we are feeling is NOT, in fact, correct. And that if we just do the convenient, rational thing, we will be happy.
But alas. Here you are: reading about a substack that is going to teach you how to feel your feelings and follow your own path. And it is a pleasure to have you here.
I know how scary it is to not be able to understand and label your internal experiences. To be suffering from things that feel unique to you, so personal and niche that no one else could ever possibly understand them. And I am here to lovingly tell you that we’ve all probably experienced some version of what you’re experiencing now, or that you will experience in the future. The human experience, it turns out, is not all that unique to the individual.
Here, I like to name those experiences and make sense of them for the mind, so that we can all feel a little more comforted, in control, and at ease going through the natural ebbs and flows of life. (I may even throw in a few practical ways to navigate those experiences here and there, to help you master the process of becoming who you actually are.)
And hopefully, I will make you laugh every once in a while as well.
Welcome. Stick around if you would like to have the mystical secrets of your internal world explained to you rationally. I didn’t know how exactly I ‘d be using my math degree in the “real world”, but I am not sure I could have predicted that my rigorous logic training would be used to explain manifestation rationally. But alas. I go where my intuition takes me. And I will teach you to do the same!
A few popular essays to start with: on manifesting, acceptance, crushes, commitment, self-trust, becoming yourself, how to be cool, compatibility, and taste.
You can also find me on X, which I use as my public notes app. Thanks for reading. I hope you find something that resonates with you while you’re here.
